FINAL!!!!

Ok so it is that time again.
I need you to come to class next week (the last class) with your final project ready for presentation, all of your past assignments, and a ton of caffeine.

You will leave your projects with me for grading and review. Please organize your prints by week to help me see your progress and to keep me from going crazy.

We will also be having a final visiting critic. His name is Matthew Clowney.
He helped out earlier in the semester with the film fill in.

Please email me with any questions.

Do not come to class with excuses. I am significantly more tolerant if you communicate with me ahead of time.

Spring Break Assignment.

Shoot 6 rolls of your first self-directed project!
Make sure that you have emailed me your idea, otherwise it doesn't count.
Please come to class with negs, contacts, and work prints.

Work prints: smaller prints which are designed to get an overall idea about your edit without out pulling your hair out making perfection happen.

Assignment due for class 3/19

Please come to class prepared to present the following:

1) a 5-10min presentation on the 10 photographers that you chose.

2) 10 prints you made of the stranger assignment (printed as good as you can with split filtering, dodging and burning and such)

3) 5 prints (not perfect if you don't have time) of the "Tell me a secret" assignment.
(Tell me a secret: using 5-10 images tell me(the class) something that most people do not know about you. This can be a narrative which might be shocking or banal, or anything really. Regardless of what you decide to make work about, please be willing to share it with the class in discussion of your work. DO NOT make work about something you will not consider disclosing in critique. Shoot three rolls of this)

The 15 prints will be for a short critique which will follow the presentations.

Also, remember to check out the RISD grad open studios tonight (friday)
